Miguel Castro traded to Orioles

Miguel Castro was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Baltimore Orioles on April 7, 2017 for a PTBNL. The RHP split 2016 between Triple A Albuquerque and the Rockies. He was 2-3, 10.34 ERA, 15 K, 1.79 WHIP, .328 BAA in 15.2 IP over 16 games at Albuquerque and 0-0, 6.14 ERA, 12 K, 1.57 WHIP, .300 BAA in 14.2 IP over 19 games with the Rockies. Over two MLB seasons with the Rockies and Blue Jays he was 0-3, 6.12 ERA, 30 K, 1.67 WHIP, .298 BAA, 4 SV in 32.1 IP over 37 games. He originally signed with the Blue Jays in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic and was traded to the Rockies in 2015. Castro turned 22 on December 24.
