Danny Santana traded to Braves

Danny Santana was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Atlanta Braves on May 8, 2017. The Twins in exchange received Kevin Chapman. 

Santana is an outfielder who hit 5 for 25, .200/.231/.360 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 13 games with the Twins in 2017. Over four MLB seasons with the Twins he hit .264/.298/.377 with 10 HR, 76 RBI, 132 R, 41 SB in 284 games. He originally signed with the Twins in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Santana turned 26 on November 7th.

LHP Chapman was 0-0, 7.71 ERA, 10 K, 1.46 WHIP, .311 BAA in 11.2 IP over 9 games at Triple A Gwinnett in 2017. Over four MLB seasons with the Astros he was 3-1, 4.09 ERA, 48 K, 1.55 WHIP, .257 BAA, 1 SV in 55.0 IP over 58 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the fourth round in 2010, traded to the Astros in 2012 and claimed off waivers by the Braves in March 2017. Chapman turned 29 on February 19.
