Yeyson Yrizarri traded to White Sox

Yeyson Yrizarri was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Chicago White Sox on July 15, 2017 in exchange for international signing bonus pool space. The shortstop had split 2017 between Class A Hickory and Class A Advanced Down East. He hit 71 for 269, .264/.287/.390 with 5 HR, 30 RBI, 22 R, 5 SB in 74 games at Hickory and 6 for 29, .207/.265/.483 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB in 8 games at Down East. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2013 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Yrizarri turned 20 on February 2nd.
